Welcome to Mrs. Jacobs' Eagle Room!

This is my 6th year teaching teaching Title I at EGS. I taught second and third grade at EGS for 8 years prior to that. I am very excited about having all your wonderful children in my classroom. We are going to have an awesome year. Ellinwood is an amazing community and I am thrilled to be an Ellinwood Eagle!

Teaching Philosophy:

My vision for my students at EGS is to enhance student success by providing a challenging academic education integrated with good character and values developing the whole student intellectually, physically, and socially.

Educational Background:

1. Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from KS Newman University

2. ESL Endorsement from Kansas State University

3. 15 Years of prior Teaching Experience in Great Bend, KS. I taught 3rd grade, Title I/Reading Recovery to students in grades 1-6, Direct Instruction, Success For All, and I was the Success For All Reading Facilitator. 

Family:

I have been married for 34 years to my wonderful husband Randy. I have 2 amazing children. Zack ,who is 24  He likes to hunt and fish. I also have a daughter, Gabriale (AKA Gabby), who is 22.  Gabby is a senior at K-State. She will gradute in May. She is majoring in Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management. Gabby also likes to  hunt and fish.  I have a granddaughter named Karoline. She is  6 years old. I also  have a grandson named Zade. We adopted him in June. That was an incredible day! He is 3 years old. He keeps us on our toes. He is so smart and growing up so fast.  We also have 2 adorable dogs. Rocket is our 10 year old chocolate lab. Max our 7 year old chocolate lab. They are both so spoiled. 

Hobbies:

My hobbies include reading, walking, camping, fishing, shopping, riding ATV's, and mostly spending time with my family.
