We realize that some children must take medication routinely during the school day and some children may occasionally need medicine for a brief problem.
We ask parents to complete a Medication Administration Request. These forms are found at the above link, in the school office, and shared during enrollment.
All medications must be in the original container when brought to school by an adult.
Over-the-counter medications can only be administered in accordance with package directions for child’s age/weight.
Prescription medications must be current with the physician’s name, student’s name and dosing instructions.
All medications must be kept in the office. No medications can be kept in the classroom, or backpacks. All medications must be delivered to school by a parent or guardian. If your child has a prescription medicine change, they must take the first dose at home and may return to school the following day, in order to observe for any possible adverse reactions before returning to school.
For any questions or extenuating circumstances, please reach out to the school nurse.
