I graduated in Health Biology from the University of Alcalá de Henares in 2023. My bachelor’s thesis focused on the “Design, production and validation of lentiviruses capable of overexpressing recombinant proteins that activate the canonical Wnt pathway in the treatment of acute spinal cord injury”, under the supervision of Francisco Javier Rodríguez Muñoz, head of the Molecular Neurology group at the National Hospital for Paraplegics, and the Prof. Elisa López Dolado.
I continued my studies with the master’s degree in Neurosciences at the University of Salamanca, completing it with a master’s thesis titled “Cell signalling mediated by kinase inhibitors in a cellular model of glioblastoma”, supervised by Dr. Maruan Hijazi Vega.
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Neurosciences in the Laboratory of Signal Transduction and Proteomics, led by Dr. Maruan Hijazi Vega, which is part of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the Institute of Neurosciences of Castilla y León (INCyL). My thesis focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms within the tumour microenvironment to support the development of more effective therapeutic strategies for brain metastases.
