Ava Brindell ‘25 is the recipient of the 2025 Archbishop May Service Award.
The Archbishop May Service Award provides Catholic secondary schools with the opportunity to recognize and encourage a senior student who is an outstanding example of rendering Christian Service within their community and school; to give visibility to Catholic Secondary schools in their mission of Christian service; and to emphasize Christian service that involves both charity and advocacy to change unjust social structures.The basic requirements are as follows: she is currently a senior who is participating in some volunteer service (in the school and/or in the greater community and is recognized by peers and/or school officials with extraordinary achievement in service above that required by the school.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Model of Justice Award is an annual award for a noble cause. This award is presented to high school students who have demonstrated through their attitude and their work a commitment to serving humanity in the broader community. These students have made justice a central part of their life and have committed themselves "to the noble struggle for equal rights."
Ursuline has the opportunity to nominate one student who exemplifies the characteristics mentioned above. This student, along with other students and parishes, will be honored during the 8th Annual Archdiocesan Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration taking place in January.
