Headaches
When experiencing headaches from hormones, it is essential to eat small, frequent snacks to maintain blood sugar. Fruits are a good way to stay hydrated as well as high in sugars.
Acne
Acne is extremely common when on HRT due to hormone changes. Large amounts of dairy and overly sugary drinks can sometimes worsen acne and can be avoided if you feel that they may be affecting your skin, although not a conclusive solution.
Nausea
Nausea can be a common side effect of HRT and, in general, can often be avoided if medications/hormones are taken with food, and existing nausea can be lessened by eating simple foods like broth or crackers, rice, and bread and including ginger, lemon, and peppermint into your diet.
