NOTES

Teachers remain in their classrooms, while pupils move between different classes, with 10 minutes between each class. This means that they can adapt the classroom to their tastes, needs and subjects.

18 teaching hours; more may be given and are charged as extra; maximum 28-28 teaching hours. 

Teachers also give private lessons in the afternoon.

100 days before the final exams, there is a party where they wear traditional costumes.

They choose their school based on the points they have earned in primary school; they also earn extra points through volunteer activities.

Good level of foreign languages, especially English. Learning is based largely on oral practice.

Students who are respectful towards teachers and classmates. They know how to be quiet when  necessary.

Teachers supplement their income by covering classes for absent teachers. Some also give private lessons in the afternoons, teach at a second school, or run their own academies.

There is a professional career path, and teachers earn more if they have a higher level. They take exams to achieve this. They receive extra pay if they teach pupils with special needs, if they are project coordinators, etc.

Atzerriko hizkuntzen maila ona, batez ere ingelesarena. Ikaskuntza, hein handi batean, ahozko praktikan oinarritzen da.

Irakasleek beren diru-sarrerak osatzeko falta diren irakasleen klaseak ematen. Batzuek arratsaldeetan ere ematen dituzte eskola partikularrak, bigarren eskola batean irakasten dute, edo beren akademiak dituzte.

Ibilbide profesional bat dago, eta irakasleek gehiago irabazten dute maila altuagoa badute. Azterketak egiten dituzte hori lortzeko. Aparteko ordainsaria jasotzen dute behar bereziak dituzten ikasleei irakasten badiete, proiektuen koordinatzaileak badira eta abar.
