To prepare for any assessment you should:
Find out what the assessment could contain - content wise
2. Check your understanding of all the material that could be in the test.
Open each of these documents, make a copy and then complete the questions. See your teacher for the answers.
Each document breaks down what could be in the CAA, with examples for you to do and check you know what you are doing. You may find some gaps, that is okay, you can address these in step three.
3. Complete revision of the content knowledge that you need to work on
4. Understand how the assessment will look, in regards to the style of questions - this is very important.
5. Practice an assessment online
NZQA has made two tasks available for you to try out.
You can also access past digital external assessments from the "learners portal" under "Find past digital exams".
LearnCoach is a NZ based website. Students can sign up for 20min free each day. The website allows you to learn how to read and answer questions and complete online questions. You will get feedback for each question and some have video walkthroughs of a question.
New !!
6. Complete previous "Common Assessment Activities", mark it and read previous assessment reports from the markers
7. More options to practice AND get feedback from a teacher.
