This website is for the use of Upper Hutt College students in preparation for the Numeracy Common Assessment Activity.
The Te Reo Matatini me te Pāngarau | Literacy & Numeracy co-requisite is a mandatory part of NCEA.
The corequisite requirements are that new standards relating to Te Reo Matatini, Pāngarau, Literacy, and Numeracy are a mandatory part of Levels 1, 2, and 3. The 20 credits achieved from these standards are separate from the 60 credits needed to achieve each level of NCEA.
There is an alternative pathway for students to gain Numeracy, this is through Level One and Level Two achievement standards. If this pathway is used, the credits don't contribute to the 60 credits needed in each level of NCEA.
