Welcome to the UP Open University's Course Package for ARTS 1: Critical Perspectives in the Arts. The goal of the course is to hone your aesthetic awareness, artistic literacy and reflexive thinking; help you develop an understanding of critical perspectives in valuing art in various contexts; and foreground the particularities of the Philippine condition in the study of art.
