The non-earning dependents of UP Personnel who retire upon reaching the compulsory retirement age or who at the time of death or permanent disability are deemed retireable under university rules, shall continue to be entitled to the tuition and miscellaneous fees privileges they were entitled to prior to the retirement.
If any non-earning dependent is already enrolled in a UP College at the time of the Personnel’s retirement, death or disability, then the dependent shall be entitled to the privileges until he/she finished the degree in progress.
If UP Employee avails himself/herself of optional retirement or incurs permanent disability while in the service after having serve UP an aggregate of at least 10 years, then his/her non-earning dependents are already enrolled at the time of retirement, death or disability shall be allowed to continue enjoying the privileges until the degree in progress is completed.
Qualification and Conditions
All full-time university personnel (permanent, temporary regular incumbents or substitute, casual, contractual personnel including project personnel regardless of the source of funds.
The provision also regular part-time with at least 1-year continuous service in the university. If the regular part-time faculty has less than one year of service shall be 50% waiver on tuition and miscellaneous fees. (except student fund fees).
Regular full time or part time faculty member who have completed their PHDS or terminal degrees in the relevant discipline can enroll in any field without paying tuition, Laboratory and Miscellaneous Fees.
All clinical faculty, full-time faculty shall be entitled to 100% waiver of tuition and miscellaneous fees. BOR 1122nd meeting held on 30 July 1998, has granted the clinical faculty the same study privileged given to regular member of faculty.
