The National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions

The smallest college in the University of the Philippines Manila, the National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions (NTTCHP) was established by the Board of Regents of the University of the Philippines on January 30, 1975, as an answer to a recognized need to enhance the instructional skills of the teacher in the health professions.

Currently, the NTTCHP offers three degree programs: Doctor of Health Professions Education (DrHPEd), Master of Health Professions Education (MHPEd), and the Master of Arts in Health Professions Education (MAHPEd). (NTTCHP-UPM Student Handbook revised 2020)

The college is a constant partner of the Department of Health and almost all associations of higher education institutions offering degree programs in the health sciences. It is also the recognized educational expert in curriculum designing particularly in the nationwide call for transformative education in the health sciences (EA Sana, 2019. Ensuring a culture of quality in NTTCHP: API project proposal AY 2019-2020).
