We need to identify our approach to qualitative inquiry in order to present it as a coherent and sophisticated study. Which approach would you find to be the most scholarly for your research problem? The most inviting? The most sophisticated?
This lesson will help you get a head start on any one of the qualitative approaches to inquiry that will be discussed in this section. We will take each approach, one by one, and discuss its key defining features, steps involved in conducting a study within the approach, and challenges that you will likely incur as you proceed.
Simply take note of their distinct features, and you should be able to easily compare and contrast the five approaches by the end of this lesson.
