I am a full-time student here at UPOU and a third-year student based in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Recently, I have only been listening to albums by The Beatles and Astrud Gilberto. I want to recommend Astrud Gilberto’s music. She is a Brazilian Jazz Singer and Musician fluent in Japanese, French, Spanish, Italian, and German—hence her recorded albums have different versions in different languages. I also listen to other genres of music such as rap/hip-hop, but mostly I listen to underground hip-hop—with MF Doom and Mos Def as my favorites. Classic Rock and Roll is also a genre I enjoy listening to, and Led Zeppelin is the band that I think did it best. Although I prefer Progressive Rock more, King Crimson and their album “In the Court of the Crimson King” is one of the most influential pieces of music ever. I do not play that many video games that I got into “video game music”, but if there is one video game whose music I think is memorable, it would be Doom Eternal.
I do not have any prior experience working with audio. My only encounter with audio is the short activities I was required to submit while studying here at UPOU. I mainly use my Windows laptop and my Android phone. I also have a cheap pair of headphones for editing videos for a project. I hope I can learn how to determine what is good and bad audio in any piece of media. I also am looking forward to reaching my goal of having an advanced grasp of manipulating audio to maximize its potential in any given project.

My very first sound/music-focused project I submitted as a BAMS student
This one was submitted during my first year in the BAMS program, The Requirement was from MMS 150, and the task was to create a short performance using TONEMATRIX. The project was only a bonus activity, so it was a mediocre attempt. Listening to it again, the whole thing sounds muddy and all over the place. I think I just gaslit myself that it was good enough to get additional points for the course.
MMM... Meals+Materials+Music
As the title said, this one involved making music using food packaging and recycled materials. I mainly used different empty bottles of alcoholic drinks lying around our backyard during this time. Listening to it, the obvious flaw is the background noise. My late dogs also appeared, or more like a feature performance by howling and lightly barking at whoever was passing by that night.
