Dear UP Tacloban students,

Welcome to Academic Year 2023-2024. Dayón kita ha UP Tacloban! 

'Dayón' is a Waray word that means "Come in" and "Continue," which makes it a fitting salutation to first year students ("freshies") and new students as well as continuing students who are commencing their second (sophomore), third (junior), and fourth and fifth (senior) years in the College.   

This 'Dayón' website is intended as a resource for all UP Tacloban students. It contains key information about the College and about University life that freshies should take note of, and which the sophomores, juniors, and seniors would do well to review. 

The website is also the online component of the blended program for welcoming all of you back to school for the new academic year. The on-campus component will be held on 29-30 August, the first two days of the first semester. On these two days you will meet and (re)connect with your teachers and classmates, other students, and officials and staff of UP Tacloban College at program orientation and advising sessions, the open house sessions, and the student organization expo and IsKatitirok.
