Division of Humanities

The Division of Humanities (DH) offers the BA Communication Arts program, as well as the General Education (GE) courses in Arts (ARTS 1 and PHIL ARTS 1) and Communication (COMM 10) and the Physical Education (PE) courses taken by all undergraduate students.

The BA Communication Arts program has three tracks: Literature and Creative Writing, Theatre Arts, and Media Arts. Graduates of the program pursue careers in cultural work, creative writing, journalism, broadcasting, advertising, public relations, organizational communication, community development, teaching, research, law, and diplomacy.

The Division of Humanities also spearheads the annual celebration of National Arts Month in February, National Literature Month in April, and National Indigenous Peoples’ Month in October, among other special occasions. Through these activities, students enjoy the opportunity to share their own creative work, such as original poetry, installation art, performance art, and theater productions.
