The Content Writing and Production component will focus on topics such as newsworthiness, basic news and feature writing, clear and effective writing, proofreading, editing, and revising, evaluating sources, and research writing. Supplemental materials such as infographics and slide presentations will be uploaded to aid your learning. Recorded sessions of past CIMRC workshops on the topic will also be included. Lastly, a quiz will also be provided at the end of each lesson to gauge their learning of the participants.
At the end of the course, the participants are expected to:
Apply best practices on clear and effective writing in drafting posters, announcements, and social media captions;
Demonstrate knowledge on news, feature writing, and laymanizing research stories; and
Produce stories and other types of content about their unit's research and development programs, and other relevant information.
