Decryption

The work done at the Examination Unit had implications on the Canadian war effort. This section will discuss two of those implications.

It will look at how the decoded Japanese transmissions effected allied knowledge of the attack on Pearl Harbour and how decryption resulted in severed diplomatic ties with Spain despite not being at war with them.
