Sotiria Triantari
Dr. Sotiria Triantari is a Professor at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia, specializing in "Political Behaviour ". She studied History and Archeology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina (1989). She has taught courses in the graduate program in Philosophy at the University of Tübingen in Germany (1989-1992). He has a degree from the Department of Theology (A.U.T.). Her doctoral studies are in the History of Philosophy (1995, A.U.T. The postdoctoral studies are in Political Philosophy (2001, International Kapodistrian University of Athen). She has a Certificate for adult education from EKEPIS with registration number EB20502 (2009) and a Mediation Certificate from the Mediation Center of Piraeus (EKEPIS) (2017). She knows very good German, English and moderate Italian. She has experience in research, participation in many Greek and international conferences. She is the author of many scientific books and articles in Greek and foreign magazines and has rich educational experience and teaching work with subjects in Rhetoric, Visual Rhetoric, Communication, Digital Communication, Leadership/Management, Ethics in decision-making, Business Ethics, Mediation and Negotiations, courses that frame Human Resource Management. She was Scientific Manager and lecturer at the PMS Educational Sciences: Training in Human Resource Management (2016-2018), Educational Sciences: Training in Human Resource Management-Mediation (2018-2019). She has been Scientific Manager and lecturer at the PMS Human Resources Management, Communication and Leadership (2020-2022), Human Resources Management, Communication and Leadership in Organizations/Businesses (2022-2024). She has also been the Director of the Communication in Management and Technology Laboratory at the Department of Management Science and Technology. Christos Nikas
Christos Nikas is a professor at the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Macedonia. His field of expertise is: International Economic Relations and Economic Integration. He studied at the Industrial School of Thessaloniki (undergraduate degree), at the College of Europe (Diploma and Master) and at the University of York (PhD) with Greek and foreign scholarships. He has worked as a Lecturer and Research Fellow at the Universities of York, Leeds, Bradford and Hull, as a Lecturer at the University of Athens and as a Visiting Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was Professor at the Department of Balkan Studies at the University of Western Macedonia (Florina). He was a Special Advisor to the Municipality of Neapolis and an expert-researcher for the International Organization for Migration, the European Committee of the Regions and the European Social and Economic Committee. Sporadically, he teaches at the Higher Transnational School of Warfare. His research interests and writing focus on International Economic Relations, European Economic Integration and the Greek Economy. He has authored 6 books, monographs and textbooks and more than 70 articles in international and Greek scientific journals. There have been 350 citations to his works. He has participated with papers in 30 international and Greek scientific conferences.
Nikolaos Koutsoupias
Nikolaos Koutsoupias is a professor at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia, with the subject "Applied Informatics and Data Analysis". He is a graduate of the Department of Computer Science at NC State University and holds a PhD degree from the Department of Applied Computer Science of the University of Macedonia. He taught courses and seminars in Computer Science and Data Analysis in Undergraduate and Graduate Programs at NC State School of Engineering, International University, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Western Macedonia, and the Air Force NCO Command School. His research interests include Quantitative and Qualitative Data Analysis from the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Scientometrics. He has authored and published dozens of articles in Greek and international journals, edited volumes and conference proceedings and has participated in more than 50 Greek and international conferences.
Dimitris Skiadas
Dimitris Skiadas is Professor and Chairman of the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Macedonia, with specialization in Financial Governance and European Union Law. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy (1998-2001) in European Law at the Department of Law, University of Durham, UK. Postgraduate studies (Master of Jurisprudence) in European Law at the Department of Law, University of Durham, UK (1997-1998). He is a graduate of the Department of Law of the Faculty of Law, Political and Economic Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1992-1997). He is a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE, 2021-2023). He has extensive teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Greek and foreign universities. He participates as a member in research projects and has administrative experience, participates in national and European institutions. He has authored five (5) monographs in Greek and one in foreign languages, as well as two (2) books in Greek and five (5) in foreign languages. He has participated in book editing, in Greek and international publications, in Greek and international conferences, written chapters in book editions, in Greek and international publications, as well as articles in Greek and international journals.
Spyridon Litsas
Spyridon Litsas is a professor at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia, with a specialization in the Theory of International Relations. His PhD studies are in International Relations from the Department of Political Science, University of Durham (UK, 1997-2001). He studied European Studies at the University of Central Lancashire (UK, 1994-1997). He is an article reviewer and has a wealth of academic experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has experience in administration, having held administrative positions at University of Macedonia. He has participated in many international peer-reviewed conferences, as well as in peer-reviewed conferences in Greece. He has authored three (3) monographs, one (1) co-authored book, edited volumes, written chapters in edited volumes, written articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as book reviews.
Theologian Dergiades
Theologos Dergiades is a professor at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia and Vice Rector of the University of Macedonia, with specialization in Applied Macrofinance and Demand for Information. His PhD studies are in Economics, University of Macedonia, Department of Economics (2010). His M.Sc. studies are in Finance and Econometrics, University of York (U.K., 2003), Department of Economics. He studied in Economics, University of Macedonia, Department of Economics (2001). He has a rich teaching experience with orientation in the areas of Statistics, Data Analysis and Econometrics, Research and Scientific Work Methods using Computer Tools AND Statistics, Modeling and Forecasting of Economic Series, Econometrics, etc. His published works include one (1) book, several articles in foreign peer-reviewed journals, articles in edited volumes, one (1) chapter in books. He has published press articles on research. His scientific interests include Information Demand, Applied Macrofinance, and Time Series Econometrics. He participates in two (2) research projects, one under the "Science and Society" call and the second under the "Research, Create, Innovate" call. In addition, from 2011 to date, he has a lot of administrative experience.
Apostolos Kiochos
Apostolos Kiochos is Associate Professor in European Monetary Integration and Risk Management in Money and Capital Markets and Insurance, at the Department of International and European Studies - University of Macedonia. He holds a PhD in Financial Institutions Risk Management from the Department of Economics, University of Thessaly. He also holds a master’s degree in insurance and risk management from Bayes Business School of London City University. He has over 45 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and edited volumes, a significant number of contributions to international conferences, over 640 references in his publications and is co-author of 13 books which are offered in undergraduate and graduate programs of the University as manuscript reference. He is the co-editor of the Archives of Economic History journal which is indexed in the American Economic Association's EconLit.
Anastasia Blouchoutzi
Anastasia Bouchloutzi is Assistant Professor at the Department of International and European Studies, University of Macedonia, in the field of Economics of International Migration. She holds a PhD degree in Essays on the Macroeconomic Implications of International Migration at the University of Macedonia, Department of International and European Studies. He holds a Master's degree in International and European Economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Economics. She has teaching experience from 2018 until today. She has participated in six research projects from 2005 to 2023 and has experience in European research projects. She has participated in book editing and has over 30 publications in chapters in edited volumes, peer-reviewed international journals and a significant number of contributions to international conferences. He participated in talks and international workshops. He is a member of Professional and Scientific Associations. He has 90 citations in Google Scholar. He is a member of Professional and Scientific Associations.
Sofia Boutsiouki
Sophia Boutsiouki is Assistant Professor at the Department of International and European Studies (IES) of the University of Macedonia with the subject "Strategic planning of policies for education, employment and culture in the European Union". She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Lifelong Learning (C.L.L./CeLL) and the Centre for Vocational Education of the University of Macedonia since their establishment until recently, and she is the academic coordinator of the Department of DES for the Erasmus+ internship program. She has also been the Scientific Coordinator of the research project "Higher Education Work Experience Program (Hi.Ed.WEP) (2020-2023), funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation, and has participated in other research projects on European policy, education and employment issues. She completed her postgraduate studies in modern history and international relations at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a specialization program in Business Administration at the University of Macedonia. She obtained her PhD from the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Macedonia and the title of her thesis was "EU education policy formation and development and labor market changes. An evaluative approach of Vocational Training Institutes (V.T.I.)". He has attended many specialized seminars on international and European issues, as well as on European integration issues. He has published books, book chapters and articles in international scientific journals and conference proceedings and has a strong research activity. Her academic interests focus on education, training and lifelong learning, employment and entrepreneurship, cultural policy and cultural diplomacy, EU politics and institutions.
Ioannis Skevas
Ioannis Skevas is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Macedonia. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Goettingen, Germany (2017), a Master’s degree in Environmental Economics and Natural Resources from Wageningen University, the Netherlands (2013), and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2011). He has taught at higher education institutions in Greece and abroad (University of Macedonia, University of Goettingen, Wageningen University, University College Cork, University of Dundee), with extensive experience in courses on statistics, econometrics, efficiency and productivity analysis, and applied microeconomics. His teaching spans both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests lie in Applied Microeconomics, Agricultural and Environmental Economics, as well as Statistics and Applied Econometrics. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed international journals (such as the Journal of Agricultural Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, American Journal of Agricultural Economics), with his work having received 280 citations in Scopus and 395 in Google Scholar. He is actively involved in research projects and has received awards for research excellence. He is a member of international academic associations and a regular reviewer for prominent international journals. Since 2023, he has been a member of the OMEA of his Department, and since 2022, he has been responsible for providing information on the undergraduate curriculum.
Irini Kamenidou
Dr. Irini Kamenidou (PhD, MSc, BSc, BSc, BA) Marketing at the International University of Greece, School of Economics and Management, Department of Administrative Science and Technology. The subject is: Marketing. He has published articles in several academic journals such as Journal of Business Research, International Marketing Review, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, EuroMed Journal of Business, Sustainability, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. Her research interests focus on broader marketing (food, services, tourism, retail, health, social, religious), consumer behavior research and sustainability. It has according to Harzing's Publish or Perish (N=109; 1335 references, h-index: 18; g- index: 35), according to scholar. Google: (N=107; 1330 references, h-index: 18; i10- index: 25) and by SCOPUS (N=49; 507 references, h-index: 12). He has over 10 years of experience in the private non-academic field and over 20 years of academic-educational experience. He has served as Dean at the School of Administration and Economics of the TEI of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
Theodoros Koutroukis
Theodoros Koutroukis is an Associate Professor at the Democritus University of Thrace. The academic subject is: Labor economics. In his doctoral and post-doctoral studies, he dealt with Labor Economics and Labor Relations. He taught at many universities in Greece and abroad. He is also an Arbitrator at the Greek Mediation and Arbitration Organization and an evaluator of programs in the field of human resources. He participated in European networks of researchers, national and international research programs and in many conferences. His work includes ten books and many articles in Greek and foreign scientific journals. He is a member of scientific associations such as the International Society of Labor Relations, the European Society of Labor Economists, the Scientific Association of Adult Education, the Hellenic Society of Counseling and Guidance, etc. in Google Scholar:169, Scopus:8.
George Aspridis
Giorgos Aspridis is a Professor specializing in "Administrative Science" at the University of Thessaly. He is a graduate of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of International Kapodistrian University of Athen and holds a PhD in Administrative Science from the same Department. The topic of his Doctoral Thesis was "Comparison of Personnel Performance Evaluation Systems in Public and Private Entities". Based on the knowledge of modern teaching methods, he obtained postgraduate training certificates from the EAP in Pedagogy and Teaching Proficiency. He has taught and/or teaches as a visiting professor at the Hellenic Open University, at the Production Schools of the Hellenic Police and Fire Academy, at the former Technological Education Institute (T.E.I.) of Piraeus and Chalkida, at the Postgraduate Studies Programs of various University Departments. He has trained a large number of executives in in-house seminars on management, human resource management, leadership and communication and public servants. He is the supervisor of three Doctoral Dissertations and has supervised the preparation of a large number of Master's Theses as well as theses. He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Business Organization and Management, Human Resource Management, Business Communications, Management Strategy, Public Administration, Knowledge Management and finally Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility . He had held several administrative positions at the former TEI of Thessaly (from 2010 to 2018). For example, he was President of the Department of Business Administration of the former T.E.I. of Thessaly and Director of the PMS "Management of Educational Units". He has been a member of educational, research and administrative project evaluation committees at Department and Institution level. He has published papers and articles in various international and national scientific conferences (Springer, SEER De Gruyter Open, Cambridge Scholars Publishing). He is a member of scientific organizations and associations, academic and scientific journals committees, reviewer of several scientific works in international conferences and journals and evaluator in various institutions.
Dimitrios Vagianos
Dr. Dimitrios Vagianos has graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has received the M.Sc. degree with Distinction in Mobile Communication Systems from the University of Surrey, UK. He holds a PhD degree from the University of Macedonia with specialization in Social Web Big Data Mining and Analysis. He is currently serving as a member of the Laboratory Faculty of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki and a founding member of the Governance and ICT Laboratory of the same university. He teaches independent undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Greek and English.
He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Hellenic Union of Public Employees Engineers and the Committee of the European Cost Action CA19142 entitled the Leading Platform for European Citizens, Industries, Academia and Policymakers in Media Accessibility. He has participated in several EU funded projects and has presented part of his research work at various international conferences. He has authored books and published several articles in international journals and chapters in edited volumes of international publishers. He speaks English and German.
