Mrs Chhaya Jahajeeah-Suntoo is the Manager, Management Information Systems at the Centre for Information Technology & Systems (CITS), University of Mauritius (UoM). She completed her Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Project Management, Bachelor in Engineering (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering and Certificate in Public Procurement Management. She is a potential Mphil/PhD candidate in the field of Cybersecurity.
Chhaya is a dedicated and skilled professional who aspires to contribute her expertise in implementing information systems to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate informed decision-making at the university level.
She plans, directs and organises the Management Information System Department of the CITS following the University's strategic objectives. She oversees the implementation and maintenance of information systems to support administrative and academic functions. In addition, she provides end-user support and training on information systems developed in-house/procured for the University.
Manishaa Rani Toolooa is a third-year BAS in Cyber Operation student, a dual-degree programme offered by the University of Arizona in collaboration with the University of Mauritius. She has been an active member of the Cyber Security and Forensics Research Group (CSFRG) since 2023, where she contributes to organising workshops and events, such as the “Inter-University Caricature Competition 2023” and the "Cybercrime, Cybersecurity & Cyber Forensic Investigation" workshop. Manishaa has assisted Dr Armoogum at Sir Veerasamy Ringadoo Govt School in speaking on topics like sextortion and cyberbullying while designing an informative flyer to address these issues for distribution across schools. She had the opportunity to participate in the “Economic Crime Prevention Conference” at the Le Meridian Hotel. She holds certification in the NIST Cyber Security Professional (NCSP) Digital Business Risk Awareness Course and has received training from Defence Logic to enhance her Cybersecurity skills.
Urvashee Marday is a third-year BAS in Cyber Operation student, a dual-degree programme offered by the University of Arizona in collaboration with the University of Mauritius. She is certified in the NIST Cyber Security Professional (NCSP) Digital Business Risk Awareness Course. As an organizing member of CSFRG, she has helped make the “Cybercrime, Cybersecurity & Cyber Forensic Investigation” workshop and the “Inter-University Cybercrime Caricature Competition” from 2023 a reality. Urvashee also had the opportunity to attend the “Economic Crime Prevention Conference” at Le Meridian Hotel along with Associate Professor (Dr.) Sheeba Armoogum and the students of CSFRG. She is always eager to learn and surpass her limits to develop more skills.
Lakshana Appadoo is a third-year BAS in Cyber Operations student, a dual-degree programme offered by the University of Arizona in collaboration with the University of Mauritius. As an organizing member of the CSFRG, she has engaged in different activities organized by the research group, such as helping to make the “Inter-University Cybercrime Caricature Competition 2023” a reality. Lakshana also had the opportunity to attend the “Economic Crime Prevention Conference 2023” at Le Meridian Hotel along with Associate Professor (Dr.) Sheeba Armoogum and the student members of CSFRG. In an era of emerging cyber risks, she believes that everyone is entitled to safer cyberspaces and looks forward to contributing to building them.
Vanusha Kaully is a third-year BAS in Cyber Operation student, a dual-degree programme offered by the University of Arizona in collaboration with the University of Mauritius. She holds certification in the NIST Cyber Security Professional (NCSP) Digital Business Risk Awareness Course". Vanusha also engaged in the Cyberbullying and Sextortion Awareness Talk (2023) held at SVR Primary School. As an organizing member of CSFRG, she has helped make the “Cybercrime, Cybersecurity & Cyber Forensic Investigation” workshop and the “Inter-University Cybercrime Caricature Competition” from 2023 a reality. Vanusha also had the opportunity to attend the “Economic Crime Prevention Conference” at Le Meridian Hotel along with Associate Professor (Dr.) Sheeba Armoogum and the students of CSFRG.
Loveina Drishti Moodhoo is a third-year BAS in Cyber Operation student enrolled in the dual-degree programme offered by the University of Arizona in collaboration with the University of Mauritius. As an organizing member of CSFRG, she has played a pivotal role in bringing initiatives like the “Cybercrime, Cybersecurity & Cyber Forensic Investigation” workshop and the “Inter-University Cybercrime Caricature Competition” to fruition since 2023. Loveina was also privileged to participate in the “Economic Crime Prevention Conference” at Le Meridian Hotel, accompanied by Associate Professor (Dr.) Sheeba Armoogum and fellow CSFRG students. Additionally, Loveina has demonstrated her commitment to professional development by completing the NIST Cyber Security Professional Digital Business Risk Awareness CBT (v1.1D) course, accredited through APMG International. Furthermore, she earned a Diploma in Digital Forensic Investigation from Alison, a CPD-certified program.
