Welcome to my Research Folio, where I share my academic journey, research interests, ongoing projects, and collaborations. As a passionate researcher, I’m deeply committed to advancing knowledge in microbiology, tuberculosis (TB) drug resistance, and molecular epidemiology. With a strong foundation in both clinical and laboratory research, I invite fellow researchers, students, and collaborators to explore my work and join me in driving forward meaningful discoveries.
My research focuses on infectious diseases, particularly the molecular and clinical characterization of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains. I aim to better understand drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and the molecular mechanisms underlying disease transmission and resistance. My interests also extend into broader areas of microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, and public health, where I explore the impact of pathogen genetics on disease control.
At the moment, my work includes investigating molecular fingerprinting techniques, assessing TB control programs, and understanding risk factors for MDR-TB in the Kurdistan region. Through advanced genetic analysis methods such as IS6110 RFLP, spoligotyping, and MIRU-VNTR, I am identifying the transmission patterns of TB in local populations, contributing valuable data to the global TB surveillance effort.
I’ve authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented my findings at international conferences. My publications cover topics such as TB drug resistance patterns, the effectiveness of TB control programs, and the genetic diversity of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains. I encourage you to explore my work through my Google Scholar Profile, where you'll find a complete list of my research contributions.
Collaboration is at the heart of innovation, and I am open to working with global researchers who share a passion for solving critical public health challenges. Over the years, I have partnered with various academic and clinical institutions, contributing to multidisciplinary research efforts. Together, we can push the boundaries of knowledge and make a significant impact in the fight against infectious diseases.
As an educator, I take pride in mentoring students and guiding them through their research endeavours. I have supervised M.Sc. and PhD students, fostering a collaborative and encouraging environment that nurtures curiosity and critical thinking. My goal is to inspire the next generation of scientists to pursue innovative research that addresses global health issues.
I am always eager to connect with fellow researchers, clinicians, and academics who are interested in similar areas of study. If you are looking to collaborate on a research project, or if you have any inquiries about my work, feel free to get in touch. Let’s explore how we can work together to achieve shared goals and advance scientific knowledge.
This webpage represents my passion for research, education, and collaboration. I look forward to continuing my work and expanding the network of researchers tackling the global challenges of TB and infectious diseases. Let’s connect and make a difference in the world of science!
