Welcome to my Academic Profile! I am excited to share my journey as an educator, researcher, and clinician in the field of infectious diseases. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to advancing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), which laid the foundation for my medical career. I then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microbiology, where I developed a keen interest in the intricacies of infectious diseases. This was followed by a PhD in Medical Microbiology, during which I focused on the clinical and molecular characterization of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains. My formal education has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to tackle complex health challenges.
As a Professor of Infectious Disease at the University of Duhok, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring students. I strive to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive. My teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, real-world applications, and collaborative learning.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am actively engaged in research focused on infectious diseases, particularly tuberculosis and antimicrobial resistance. My research aims to provide valuable insights into the epidemiology and treatment of these diseases, and I am committed to contributing to global health efforts.
With years of clinical experience, I have worked in various healthcare settings, managing infectious diseases with a meticulous, evidence-based approach. My role as a clinician involves diagnosing and treating patients with a wide range of infections, ensuring they receive the best possible care. I have also taken on significant responsibilities in infection control, striving to prevent the spread of diseases within healthcare facilities.
Through my dual role as a clinician and educator, I have been able to bridge the gap between theory and practice, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of infectious diseases and their impact on public health.
