I am Dr. Faek Sido Diko, a Professor of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and Director of Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness (DIRP) at the University of Duhok (UOD). I earned my Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Dublin City University in 1989 and 1992, respectively, specializing in mechanical engineering and metal forming process optimization. Over the years, I have expanded my expertise to include reverse engineering, robotics and automation, and sustainable design, with a strong focus on developing practical solutions to engineering challenges. My postdoctoral studies at the Technical University of Berlin and my experience at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal further shaped my academic journey.
