As a Professor in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, I take pride in sharing my knowledge with students across various disciplines. I have taught a broad range of subjects, including Finite Element Analysis, Design Optimization, CAD/CAM Systems, and Engineering Management. My teaching philosophy is grounded in combining theoretical concepts with practical applications, ensuring my students develop both analytical skills and hands-on experience.
I have delivered lectures at esteemed institutions, including Arab International University, Kalamoon University, and Damascus University, as well as specialized engineering courses at the Higher Institute of Science and Technology. Through these roles, I have had the privilege of guiding students from diverse backgrounds, equipping them with the technical skills and critical thinking needed to excel in engineering fields.
Mentoring students has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my academic career. I have supervised numerous undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. students, particularly in areas such as:
CAD/CAM Integration
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Metal Forming and Forging Process Design
Institutional Research and Higher Education Policy Development
I am passionate about helping my students develop independent thinking, problem-solving skills, and innovative approaches to engineering challenges. My goal as a mentor is to inspire my students to explore new ideas, pursue impactful research, and build strong professional networks that support their academic and career growth.
Throughout my academic career, I have actively engaged in collaborative research projects with esteemed institutions and scholars worldwide. My research has addressed key engineering challenges, including:
Finite Element Simulation of Metal Forming Processes
Customized CAD Systems for Closed Die Forging Design
Quality Assurance in Higher Education Using Information Systems
Pharmaceutical Industry Equipment Design
I have worked closely with Prof. Saleem Hashmi and contributed to international conferences such as IMC, NUMIFORM, and the Asia Pacific Conference on Materials Processing. I also actively collaborate with colleagues to develop practical solutions that improve manufacturing precision, streamline design processes, and advance quality assurance in education.
I am grateful to have received recognition for my contributions to both mechanical engineering and higher education. My involvement in international projects such as the TEMPUS Project for Quality Assurance and the DAAD-funded Higher Education Dialogue has allowed me to play a key role in advancing educational standards and improving institutional research.
My work at the Scientific Studies and Research Centre in Damascus, Syria was particularly impactful, where I led engineering initiatives, managed industrial automation projects, and contributed to developing innovative solutions for Syria’s industrial sector. These experiences have shaped my dedication to combining research excellence with real-world applications.
My passion for learning has guided my career from the beginning. After completing my Ph.D. in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Dublin City University, I continued my academic development with a Postdoctoral Fellowship at TU Berlin, exploring advanced manufacturing techniques and engineering innovations.
I firmly believe that learning never stops. Whether through collaboration, research, or teaching, I continuously seek new knowledge to stay ahead of technological advancements and improve my methods. This dedication allows me to bring fresh insights and innovations to my students, research partners, and industry collaborators.
I welcome students, fellow academics, and industry professionals interested in exploring research collaborations, engineering projects, or knowledge-sharing initiatives. Please feel free to connect with me to discuss ideas, potential research opportunities, or mentorship inquiries.
