Flora Biodiversity

FLORA DIVERSITY STUDIES AND CONSERVATION

WCL observes the floral species diversity to cover all landscape types, starting from the Pulisan Cape, North Sulawesi, Sulawesi ecoregion, and the Wallacea bioregion. The approach was surveys using sporadic and systematic transects and plots. Data also comes from a citizen science approach using the Sulawesi Plant group in PlantNet.org and the Sulawesi Project under the Wallacea Umbrella Project in iNaturalist.org. WCL develops species database that also covers local use and geographical reference of each individual.

Goals

1. to study flora diversity in Pulisan Landscape, 

2. to study the geographical distribution of flora species endemic to Sulawesi and Wallacea Bioregion in Pulisan Landscape.

3. to provide seedlings of charismatic flora of the Wallacea bioregion
