Distance Learning Band Class Procedures
Any student who has been in band in person this semester may check out a school instrument to practice with over the next two weeks. Those who have been in person through Friday have received a permission slip that needs to be signed and returned to the office during school hours the week of Nov. 16. Upon receipt, the office will contact Mr. Lienemann, and he will bring the instrument to the front office for check out. For students who have used a school instrument this year, but were not in attendance on Friday, Nov. 13, permission slips will be in the front office of UNPS.
Band classes will not take place at their usual times to prevent disruptions in family member's classes. Mr. Lienemann will instead post a playlists of 5-10 min. videos covering a range of playing techniques for the students to use at their convenience. Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! This year we welcome Mr. Bob Lienemann as the new band director, and Mr. John Mangan back to assist with the band program.
Announcements and updates regarding the entire band program will be updated here on the main page. Information for specific classes will be posted on the individual class pages via the sidebar button at the top left of the website.
As the year progresses we will be adding more media representing our school students and to aid in education.
Each classroom page has a list of COVID-19 precautions we are implementing specifically for band practices, and they will continue to be updated as we progress and learn new information and practices.
