ABOUT
Housed in the historic Novack's building on 211 King st. in downtown London, Ontario, the UnLondon Retail Incubator/Accelerator Program provides storefront space to early stage retail businesses looking to validate and iterate their business models and products, without the pressure, timeline and costs of multi-year leases.
This program offers emerging retailers a 6 month term to launch and develop their business. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Only applicants considered for the program will be contacted for an interview.
PROGRAM GOALS
1) Provide startup retail businesses a low-risk context to test their business idea in a popular and centrally-located downtown storefront.
2) Assist retailers in developing the knowledge and skills to embark on a long-term lease.
3) Encourage small business growth and entrepreneurship in Downtown London.
4) Increase economic vitality in London, Ontario more generally.
REQUIREMENTS
All successful applicants must agree to the following program requirements:
1) Sign a retail membership agreement for a 6-month term;
2) Provide general liability insurance for your property;
3) Comply with storefront façade and cleanliness requirements;
4) Attend & participate in retailer-sanctioned events at 121 Studios;
5) Commit to managing sales and staffing your store for duration of the term.
