facilitated an student participation in a start-up weekend women’s edition workshop was held in Colombo with the purpose of generating entrepreneurship skills through practical knowledge and mentoring process. As per the mandatory requirement of the workshop’s organizing team, eight female students from faculty of management studies and commerce have participated for three days. As per the event brief, the workshop was conducted. As scheduled in the Day 01 (Team Forming), our students are classified in to two groups with their own ideas and at the end of the day (Day 03) among ten different ideas, the winner and first runner-up are from our University (University of Jaffna) the winner team is from faculty of Management studies and commerce.

AWARENESS CAMPAIGN TO ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO INVOLVE WITH BUSINESS INCUBATION CELL FOR NEW BUSINESS CONCEPTION : Entrepreneurs from Canada visited to UBL initiation and, met the students in University of Jaffna on 7th of April 2017. They shared their experiences with the students and staff. In this discussion they explored the important of Business incubators at the faculties. They promised to the University community to give assistants and networks on BIC initiations at faculties. Staff and Students of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce actively participated in this discussion.
