Student Voluntary Community work-2020

Facilitated a Students’ Voluntary Community Work, at Community places. Through series of discussions, with the students and UOJ administration, community centers creative ideas were explained and students were facilitated to prepare themselves to showcase their efforts at the community places. Groups of Students have visited to 30 community places such as 1. Foursquare children’s Home, 2. Gnakkulanthai preschool, 3. Asarana Sarana Elder’s Home, 4. Shanthom – Home for the Elders, 5. Arivucholai Children’s Home, 6. Janakulathai Ellam Pre School, 7. Hindu Board of Education, 8. Social of Society, 9. Sri Paramanada Children’s and Elder’s Home, 10. Gandhi Nilayam,11. Durkkapuram Mahalir Illam, 12. Senchcholai Children Care Home, 13. Sri Vijaya Pre School, Nawodaya 14. Pre-school Elayapaththuwa, 15. Pasam Children’s Home, 16. Kokuvil Railway station Slum area, 17. The ARK home for disable people, 18. VAAZHVAKAM children’s home, 19. Shanthy Elders holders 20. Sivapoomi Elders’ home, 21. Lilly Elders home,22. Paramanantha Nelliyaddi Children’s home,23. STUDENT PROCESSION -2019- INSPIRING SOCIAL WELLBEING FOR HAPPINESS IN KNOWLEDGE CONCEPTION

Organized a student procession on the theme “Inspiring social wellbeing for happiness in knowledge conception” on 22nd of March 2019 at 10 AM. Third year commerce students, who learnt computer application for research, were trained through a series of discussion and guidance in the procession. Poems were written in two Languages (Tamil and Sinhala). Students played instruments and sang song and walked from the commerce department to UOJ main gate. This Procession covered significant conceptions, such as avoid ragging, happiness, friendship, and wellbeing of others. Purpose of this parade is to explore the core areas of level descriptors (attitude, values and professionalism and vision for life) according to Sri Lankan Qualification Framework (SLQF).

POSTER EXHIBITION ON COMPUTER APPLICATION FOR RESEARCH- 2019

Conducted a placard exhibition on the Computer Application for research, on 21st of Match 2019, at the commerce Hall 1. Students, who learnt computer application exhibited themes of the subject under my supervision. Students prepared creative placard designs with manual art and craft work to explain variables related to the subject

RETAIL ARCADE FOR ACTIVE LEARNING-2018

Conducted a retail arcade as active learning session on the subject of Retail Marketing Management on 8th of January, 2018 from. Purposes of this Retail fair, are to encourage the students to apply the subject knowledge practically and encourage them to start their own business after graduation. Four groups of Students have conducted retail fair on hand bands and stickers with University logo, food retails, Ice-cream shop and fresh juice corner. Each group of students had different promotional methods to capture customers. Staff and students of the faculty appreciated their efforts and innovative ideas in retail business through the application of knowledge in retail marketing management. Students created very attractive and creative selling huts.


STUDENT PROCESSION FOR CELEBRATING NATIONAL ECONOMY MANAGEMENT-2015

Organized a Student procession for celebrating National Economy Management was commenced on 14th of October 2015. There were 300 students participated in this procession. Students carried boards and expressed variables related to the subject. Each variable was expressed by images, news and write-ups. Students played base-drum, site-drums, and melodious to organize the procession. Furthermore, they threw balloons to express their happiness on the subject interest. Students walked around the faculty locations and expressed happiness on creative nature of this learning experience.

POSTER EXHIBITION ON CONSUMER BEHAVIOR-2015

Organized a poster exhibition on 30th October2015, on the topic ‘consumer behaviour’. Students prepared posters on their learned lessons and showed the lesson experiences, what they gained during the lectures. Students presented their videos on lessons they learnt during the lecturer series. In this exhibition students exhibited their creative posters, advertisements and designed structures. Staff and the students of the faculty observed the exhibition and offered gratitude to them.

PLACARD EXHIBITION ON COMPUTER APPLICATION FOR RESEARCH-2016

Organized a poster exhibition on computer application for research on 20th of May 2016. Purpose of this placard exhibition was to explore the understanding of the knowledge learned in computer application for research. This exhibition consisted of the topics as research methodologies, data analysis methods, computer application software, analysis tools, research models, and etc. Observers appreciated students and congratulated them for their achievements. This creative nature of the exhibitions with attractive posters encouraged students and observers.

POSTER EXHIBITION ON ‘CRUSADE FOR FASHIONING SHOPPING AWARENESS-2012

Organized a poster Exhibition on the topic crusade for fashioning shopping awareness” held on 22th of February 2012 on the Subject -Marketing Communication. This exhibition created awareness on quality standard marks of the products. Lecturers and students observed this exhibition and congratulated this creative work which was beneficial to the consumers.

POSTER EXHIBITION ON COMPUTER APPLICATION FOR RESEARCH -2013

Organized a Poster Exhibition on the topic “Data Analysis tools and Applications” on 7th of March 2013. Purpose of this exhibition was to explore the knowledge gathered from this Subject. Former rector of the Vavuniya Campus Mr.K.K.Arulvel officially inaugurated this exhibition. Many visitors observed this effort and praised the students and staff for their creativity and achievement. Best posters, and best learner awards were also delivered to the students.

POSTER EXHIBITION ON MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS -2016

Organized a poster exhibition on the subject managerial economics on 17th of May 2016. Purpose of this poster exhibition was to explore the understanding of the knowledge learned in managerial economics. Each student explored a concept by patching images, write-ups and graphs. They happily expressed the knowledge what they gained during the lecture hall. These creative posters were observed by the students and staff and appreciated this creative works.

POSTER EXHIBITION ON NATIONAL ECONOMY MANAGEMENT -2014

Organized a poster exhibition on the theme National Economy Management on 12th of September 2014. There were 300 Students participated in this poster exhibition. They all expressed their interest on the subject and the learning methodology. Acting dean Mr.V.Subramaniaum officially inaugurated this Exhibition. Academic members evaluated the students’ performance, and their creative works on Posters which expressed the concepts in National Economy Management. Faculty Staff and Students observed this exhibition and appreciated the Students’ achievements. Best posters were selected by the evaluators and the prizes were given to the creators at this event

VEDEO SHOW PUBLICATIONS OF 23 BUSINESS CASE STUDIES -2018

Supervised the first-year students to engage with the business community of Northern Sri Lanka and they developed the success stories of Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as video shows. Subject lecturers Dr.S.Rajumesh, and myself -published their Videos on 26th of January 2018. In this initiation 23 Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises were investigated and student engagement with Business community were enriched. Students as teams visited to the MSMEs such as ‘Anthiran Rubber Products”, Jeyantha Industrial Park Pvt Ltd, Suyam Multi trade Center, Nagananthini Greeting Card Makers, Ambal Incense sticks, Mayu Handmade Cards, Arul bakery and café, Softlogic Max, Rathy work shop, Thinesh bake House, Thinnai Hotel, SNP Handicraft product center, Yarl Ice-cream seller, EBIRON snacks, MAHA fashion Corner, Pirakanth Photocopy shop, SARI connection Project , PRCIC, ALLAI organic Production center, SIGNATURE show room , DYANA Plastic recycling & manufacturing, PSUMSOLI rice Mills and HARRIHARAN Printers. Students were trained to investigate the MSMEs of Northern Sri Lanka, through a series of discussions and feedback. Students prepared videos with voiceovers and animations as team efforts.

POSTER EXHIBITION ON MARKETING FOR “Marketing knowledge shared by Master readers” on 19th of March 2017

1. Facilitated a Poster Exhibition on the Theme “Marketing knowledge shared by Master readers” on 19th of March 2017 at MH3, from 8.30 am to 12.30pm. Master readers from the second batch (2015/2016), shared their learning experiences through posters. Undergraduates from different batched visited to this exhibition and evaluated the performance of Masters. There are 65 students reading master were participated and presented their posters. Staff and student appreciated their performance, on the creative works of Posters.


POSTER EXHIBITION ON MARKETING FOR ENGINEERS- 2017

Organized a Poster Exhibition on the theme “Marketing for Engineers” at the Faculty of Engineering on 8th of February 2017. In this exhibition engineering students expressed their views on marketing theories to the application on Engineering field. There were 30 Posters displayed to show their practical knowledge on marketing to be in the engineering field. Staff and students from the faculty of Engineering observed this exhibition and appreciated their creative work on this Subject
