I am aware of the issue of racially disparate health outcomes and documented bias in the provision of health care. I have past administrative work experience in medical offices - I have maintained a relationship with one of those providers.

Finding implementable solutions and changes to the issues of racial bias and negative racial stereotypes in the health care system that impact BIPOC and immigrants access to proper medical care. Meaningful practice and cultural changes to improve access, and proper health care, especially for Black women and girls who continue to be stereotyped stigmatized, and devalued as they experience physical pain, health conditions, negligence during pregnancy, and birth, required mental health assistance, and when they report physical and sexual violence. Another issue is the economic accessibility to behavioral health care and access to providers of color, and destigmatizing the notion of mental health in communities of color.

I have extensive transferable experience working on health equity for the last 20+ years. My experience is from my work in NH and I'm ready to put that to use in WashCo. Right now I have no contacts to share. ** Very difficult to separate one area of interest from another when they are all related.
