Presented in English on Zoom with multilingual interpretations (upon request in advance). For those who require language interpretation, please register as early as possible and indicate your preferred language. We will do our best to find a community interpreter(s) who understands the subject, is able to interpret simultaneously, and familiar with Zoom interpreting features.
Join Unite Oregon’s open house in partnership with the Housing Beaverton Project to share your housing needs with the city! The Housing Beaverton Project aims to identify people’s unique housing needs and what steps the City must take to encourage the creation needed housing. Getting thoughts and stories straight from the community can help the City take the right actions so more of the housing that gets built suits the needs of current and future Beaverton residents.
The open house will be a virtual and interactive event that will give all participants a chance to share about their unique housing experiences and needs. All are welcome, including those who do not currently live in Beaverton but may wish to in the future. Stipends are available for the first 25 attendees who RSVP and attend the event.
Questions about the registration or interpretation, feel free to contact Piyawee Ruenjinda at piyawee@uniteoregon.org or (971) 599-1968 voice/text. For questions about the Housing Beaverton Project, please email the project team at HBProject@BeavertonOregon.gov or visit the project website at www.BeavertonOregon.gov/HBP.

THE POWER OF TESTIMONY & STORYTELLING
Presentation by Unite Oregon
Join Unite Oregon's Policy team and learn about the best practices around public speaking and testimony. Testifying before a city council, the state legislature, or another government body is a crucial piece to organizing and making systemic change. Especially when it comes to housing needs and priorities. You don't have to be an expert about something to speak about it. You are an expert on your own life and community. Your story is your testimony!
