Children whose families meet federal income guidelines
Children with disabilities, regardless of severity
At-risk children (we will help determine this)
Transportation provided where possible. Staff assist families in obtaining transportation
What is Head Start?
What is Head Start?
It is a child development program for three- and four- year old's, including children with special needs. Head Start also offers services to the family. Parents and teachers work together to plan activities. At Head Start, children learn to accept themselves, explore their world, and learn individually and as part of a group. Trainings area available for parents that will help them learn and grow with their child.
Education
Head Start involves families in the education of their children by using the Creative Curriculum. Children will be taught the necessary skills of language, physical, social/emotional and cognitive development to be successful in Kindergarten. Specialized services are offered to qualifying children with diagnosed disabilities and their family.
