Mrs. Zimmerman
Mrs. Zimmerman
Hello, Team 6B! My name is Mrs. Zimmerman and this is my 1st year teaching. I am excited to be a part of Eagle Nation and I know that we will have a fantastic year together!
This year, I will be an LBS1 on Team 6B. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a paraprofessional with Bloomington Public Schools. Before that, I was a public librarian in a few different libraries.
Here is a little background information about me:
I grew up in Clinton, Illinois, but also lived in the country between Clinton and Farmer City. Fun Fact: the house that I grew up in used to be a schoolhouse and was the only school that my grandpa ever attended.
I graduated from Illinois State University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in History and then completed a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois in 2015.
My husband, Tim, and I have been married since 2020. He works as a chaplain at Carle BroMenn Hospital but previously worked as a paraprofessional with Bloomington Public Schools.
I have four cats named Natasha, Miles, Bishop, and James, and one dog named Missy.
I cheer for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers.
Before coming to Evans, I worked with elementary students as a paraprofessional and as a library assistant.
Many years ago, I coached a high school flag corps team.
Some of my favorite things include: Dr. Pepper, reading, coloring, crocheting, naps, video games, movies, and spending time with friends and family
