5-6 The student states a learning goal and describes the connection between personal interest(s) and that goal.
7-8 The student states a learning goal and explains the connection between personal interest(s) and that goal.
State your learning goal (In this personal project, my learning goal was …). The learning goal is not to make a product (see Aii below)! The learning goal should constitute new learning, not merely the application of prior knowledge. The learning goal should be challenging but realistic.
State 2-3 sub-topics or research questions that further specify your learning goal. (More specifically, my learning goal required me to inquire deeply into the following research questions/topics: ...)
Explain why the learning goal was chosen. Present at least three strong personal reasons reasons. (I chose this learning goal for several reasons: ...).
Outline the 'moment' - a personal insight or anecdote - that sparked the choice for the learning goal. (The moment I decided this was a perfect learning goal for my project was when ...)
Present visual evidence of the development of your learning goal and refer to this examples in the text. E.g. (Ev.Ai-2).

1-2 The student states their intended product.
3-4 The student states their intended product and presents basic success criteria for the product.
5-6 The student states their intended product and presents multiple appropriate success criteria for the product.
7-8 The student states their intended product and presents multiple appropriate, detailed success criteria for the product.
State your intended 'product' (do or make) and its main parts are clearly and explicitly stated (In this Personal Project, I intended to [create] a …
Outline the 'product's' constituents (as part of this, I had to [develop] ...).
Outline how the product demonstrates learning related to the learning goal (This product would demonstrate my learning related to the learning goal because …).
List important sources for the development of specific success criteria in footnotes.
Present a table in which you:
Identify and outline 5-10 success criteria that address all important qualities of the intended product.
Explain the relevance of each success criterion (This success criterion is important because ...). Cite research (MLA references in footnotes) if appropriate. This part of your report is where you refer to your research most

1-2 The student presents a plan that is superficial or that is not focused on a product.
3-4 The student presents a plan for achieving the product and some of its associated success criteria.
5-6 The student presents a detailed plan for achieving the product and most of its associated success criteria.
7-8 The student presents a detailed plan for achieving the product and all of its associated success criteria.
Present a table in which you:
Describe fine-grained steps (todo-s) needed to create your product chronologically. These steps should focus on what is needed for the creation of the product only, but not refer to other elements of the project such as writing the report. Write in the present/future tense - a plan is created before the creation of the product starts.
Present the steps grouped in larger project phases.
Identify success criteria (Aii) with each step. Make sure each success criterion is addressed at least once in the plan.
Identify an intended due date (deadline) for each step.
Conclude this section with a short reflection in which you describe how the plan developed during the project. (The table above presents my initial action plan. During the project, I made some changes. Most notably: ...)
Students achieving at the top levels in this assessment criterion add extensive visual evidence of their learning and/or project development. Commonly presented evidence are photos or screenshots of:
Ai - Brainstorming in the form of mind maps or notes
Ai - A record of the feedback you got from others on your project ideas
Ai - Personal photos demonstrating a personal connection to the learning goal.
Ai - Inspirational products or projects related to the learning goal.
Ai - Screenshots of school work (prior learning).
Aii - Diagrams, photos, interview transcripts, etc. from research that helped you write your success criteria.
Aii - A screenshot of (a part of) an inspiration board.
Aii - An AI chatbot interaction you had that helped you develop your success criteria.
Note1: Evidence with text needs to be easily readable by the examiner. If it is not, it will be ignored during assessment.
Note2: Evidence needs to be anonymised. People, school logos and other obvious identifiers need to be blurred for that purpose.
