Mission: To provide eco-friendly light sources to rural communities of Vietnam.
Expectation of Participation
When members join our group we expect them to actively participate and share their thoughts and opinions freely while designing and building our products. The group members should also help run sales booths during school events like Winterfest, Spring Fair, etc. This active collaboration helps our group grow and improve, gives us new ideas, and moves us closer to our goal of free eco-friendly light sources in rural Vietnam.
ESSENTIALS FOR THIS GROUP
Enjoy designing and building (products and electronics)
Work in the design lab outside of regular meetings to build products
Attend sales events (and support with marketing)
Participate in 1 of the 2 trips to Yên Bái province this year.

L.U.T.N TEAM ROLES
Note* No matter the role your in, you will be participating in building the products, attend sales events, and the trip as described above in the expectation section.Technical Lead
Roles under the role of technical lead include managing tasks such as testing website efficiency, and website status. Also, it will take part in managing the energy, electricity, and materials used in the products. In total, there are 2 different roles under the technical lead which include Material Manager and Energy Officer.
Marketing Lead
Roles under the role of the marketing lead would be related to marketing/sales such as helping with website marketing, communicating with communities, and making advertisement designs. In total, there are 2 different roles under the design lead which include the Strategy Manager and Communications Officer.
Research Lead
Roles under the role of research lead would come to focus on planning out how to improve the products to eco-friendly conditions, how we could advertise efficiently, and how this product compares to professional products. In total, there are 2 roles under the research lead which include the Product Designer and Website Designer.
The praeses lead includes planner roles which will give the opportunity to learn a lot of skills such as session planning and being able to plan out most of the session plans for the group which includes the marketing process and meeting plans for the Team. This role is the one of most important roles since it involves a lot of planning for both the team and all other roles. Another would be the financial planner role which gives opportunities to students to help manage the finances of the team and calculate expected growth and financial development.
