What is Light up the Night?

Light up the Night is a Service Learning Group that has a goal to bring sustainable energy and power to lamps and bring more light to the rural communities and areas of Vietnam. We plan to donate these lamps to rural communities in Vietnam and bring more light and light up the dark community of Vietnam. We hope to both sell and donate these lamps.

The group will work to design and develop lighting solutions to be sold within out UNIS community (our first project will be birdcage lights) to fund materials needed to build solar torches that will be installed in rural communities without street lights and lighting solutions for community centers.

To build more eco-friendly lights and help rural areas of Vietnam that need light to be safe by using the funds sponsored from six-senses These funds can be used for the purchase and installation of renewable energy systems, such as small and large solar generation, and for the purchase, installation, and construction of energy efficiency improvements, such as lighting. We can also look to our partnership with Liter of Light to provide cheap and sustainable lighting solutions to rural communities.

Putting the 2000 USD to use!

L.U.T.N Proides Eco-Friendly Lights!

Our organization is committed to sustainability and reducing waste management and pollution issues. To achieve this, we are using recycled plastic materials and lamps to build eco-friendly lighting systems. By repurposing materials, we can reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and promote a circular economy. Additionally, using recycled materials can be more cost-effective than using new materials, making it a win-win situation for both the environment and our organization. These light sources are all made from wood and recycled plastic to help reduce the usage of new harmful materials like new plastic bags. We will put these lights to greater use and bring them to help rural places of Vietnam.
