The DP Design Technology course is delivered in a flipped-classroom format. Students independently read through the syllabus content at home before class. This means lecture times in class are shortened and there is more time for practical work and inquiry.
Having to prepare for class by pre-reading content independently at home requires a switched-on mind. While reading, on the print-out of the syllabus section(s):
Use a highlighter to mark important concepts and key phrases.
Use a pen to
Mark sections you would like further explained/discussed in class with a '?' (question mark)
Mark sections you feel should become part of your exam notes with an '!' (exclamation mark)
Draw arrows or connectors between text and related images and diagrams.
