SHAR has been designed with the motives of Simplicity, Re-Usability, and Sustainability for LEO orbits with a
200 km circular orbit (LEO) à DV=7800 m/s
100 kg payload (nano and microsat’s)
3 stages:
– 1st stage - Solid booster: 0 to 25 km and Mach 0 to 6
– 2nd stage - Scramjet: 25 to 50 km and Mach 6 to 10 [ Powered and shut-down flight phases ]
– 3rd stage - Hybrid rocket: 50 to 200 km ( Hohmann transfer to orbit )
Numerical program developed to SIZE and DESIGN the whole vehicle (mass, geometry, dimensions) and to CALCULATE performance starting from missions requirements (Mach, Range, fuel, Istr)
This code is able to size a broad range of condition, from passengers transport (SSTO) to launchers for missiles/small satellites (TSTO- avio launched)
