Enrolment Procedure

Applicants’ admission to the PhD program will follow the classification order until all the available places have been filled. The admission test results will be published in the dedicated section of the University website.

The peremptory date within which to carry out the whole registration procedure, including the payment of the regional fee for the right to university education and the stamp duty paid using the virtual system for a total of € 156.00, under penalty of expiration of the right to registration, will be communicated through a specific notice published in the dedicated section of the University website.

Applicants who do not respect the specified deadline will be considered to have withdrawn and will lose their place in the classification.

  • Civil servants shall apply for a permission by their administration at the time of publication of the selection results. Such students will be admitted with conditional registration until the date of submission of their leave-of-absence form.

  • Foreign citizens who are not yet legally resident in Italy will have to apply for a study permit within 8 working days from their entry into the Italian territory. Such students will be admitted with conditional registration until they submit relevant documentation attesting that they applied for a study permit.

At the time of registration, all PhD students must pay:

  • € 140.00 (regional fee for the right to university education, subject to adjustments by the Lombardy Region)

  • € 16.00 (stamp duty paid using the virtual system)

For renewing their enrollment to each of the following years, PhD students, if admitted, must pay the regional fee for the right to university education and the stamp duty paid using the virtual system according to the current market value.
