Sabrina is originally from Turano Lodigiano, a little municipality in the province of Lodi in the lower Po Valley in Italy.
In 2023 she obtained her master’s degree in Chemistry at Università di Pavia. She spent her thesis period in G4Lab under the supervision of Prof. Mauro freccero. Her work was based on the synthesis of ligands for the destabilization of the nucleic acids secondary structures known as G-Quadruplex for therapeutic applications.
After her masters’s degree, she started the national Ph.D. course “One health approaches to infectious diseases and life science research” again under the supervision of Prof. Mauro Freccero. Her work is focused on the synthesis and characterization of G-quadruplex ligands for antiviral applications, principally against West Nile Virus.
Sabrina is a quiet person who loves the mountains, traveling and trying strange foods.
