Andrea Noto, B.Sc.

Andrea was born in Vigevano, a big town between Milan and Pavia in Italy in 2000. 

In 2023 he obtained his B.Sc. in Chemistry at Università degli Studi di Pavia. His work was based on the use of potentiometry as a tool to monitor antioxidant activity and estimate oxidative stress in the medical field. Since November 2024 he is a Master student in the G4Lab, where he works on the synthesis of a small molecule capable of binding a single guanine through two donors and two acceptors hydrogen bonds, thereby destabilizing the G-quadruplex and leading to its unfolding with enhanced selectivity, efficiency and power. He successfully defended his thesis in July 2025.

Andrea regularly goes to the gym and generally loves all sports. He is an excellent cook and loves dogs. Discipline and competitiveness are his best traits. Where there is a challenge, there is also Andrea!
