Meet Mrs. Baer

Hello and welcome! I'm Ms. Baer, and I'm thrilled to be your(student's) math teacher this year. I’ve been teaching middle school math for many years and absolutely love helping students grow in confidence and skill as they tackle new mathematical challenges.

In our class, we focus not only on mastering math concepts like algebra, geometry, and statistics, but also on building a growth mindset. Mistakes are part of learning, and we celebrate progress every step of the way. My goal is to make math class a place where students feel supported, challenged, and even have a little fun along the way.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy taking walks with my husband and our dog, hanging out with family and friends and listening to audiobooks and country music. I also like to volunteer for Beautify San Jose and the Second Harvest/Catholic Charities food distribution program.

I believe every student can be a “math person”; it just takes the right mindset, effort, and support. I’m here to help every step of the way! Communication is key to student success, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
