When you take an assessment, you will get a rubric score for each learning objective.
The score follows this convention:
4 = Mastery: “I know it very well, and can show my thinking with multiple representations. I could teach it to someone else.”
3 = Proficient: “I understand it and I can do it by myself with few (calculation) errors.”
2 = Approaching/Partially Proficient: “I can do it with some help, I need more practice to do on my own without errors. My work shows conceptual errors.”
1 = Beginning: “I can only do it with help. My work shows I can attempt the mathematics.”
If your SLO (Student Learning Objective) score Is below 80% (70% for IM1) you are eligible for a retake of each qualifying SLO.
2) Fill out an Assessment Retake Form (by date specified)
3) Study for retake.
4) Get help for this process during math clinic or see your teacher for help.
5) Find out retake date/time from your teacher.
6) New score up to 80% (up to 70% for IM1)
Note: New score replaces old score (even if it is lower).
