10th International Meeting on Taphonomy and Fossilization

Taphos 2025 represents the 10th International Meeting on Taphonomy and Fossilization, continuing the tradition of meetings that have been regularly held in Europe since 1990 (Madrid 1990, Zaragoza 1995, Valencia 2002, Barcelona 2005, Granada 2008), and then in Tübingen (2011), Ferrara (2014), Vienna (2017), and Madrid (2022). This is the second time that the Taphos meeting is held in Italy, and so we have great pleasure in inviting you, on behalf of the University of Ferrara, to Italy in 2025.

We are very excited about the Taphos 2025 and hope you will enjoy the wide array of topical sessions and the field trip that we are planning for this meeting.

Re-energise and refresh while sampling the best of Ferrara and Comacchio meals and Italian wines in the centre of the European Renaissance. 

We encourage you to experience the splendid range of cuisine, cultural experiences, natural parks and scenery that the city and region have to offer during your visit.
