Research team members
PI of the project, is an under40 Assistant professor (RTD-B) in Applied Physics.
She has a PhD in Energy Engineering at the UNIPG, she teaches “Thermal systems” at the Master Degree Course in Industrial Engineering and “Energy Storage” at the PhD School in “Energy and Sustainable Development”, UNIPG.
Her research interests are about environment, energy and energy storage. She has a fifteen-year expertise on clathrate hydrates, started with her Master Thesis in Mechanical Engineering on hydrate-based methane storage. She designed the first 25 L reactor in the UNIPG Lab for the artificial production of solidified methane for transportation (at the moment out of operation) and one of the three reactors currently in operation. During her research activities, she has gained a sound knowledge of the clathrate hydrates behavior, especially applied to methane and hydrogen storage and transportation in solid form, biogas upgrading and natural gas hydrate reservoirs investigations. She acquired also administrative and management skills in her five-year experience as a Member of the Board of Directors in an Italian private-public waste management company. In 2020, she was Visiting Professor at the Combustion and Catalysis Lab of the Grove School of Engineering, City College of New York, City University of New York, on the theme of natural gas hydrates, leading a joint experimental research on a 60 L experimental apparatus.
She has worked in several national and international joint research projects on chlatrate hydrates and energy-related topics. In particular, he actively participated in the national PRIN2017 project “Methane recovery and carbon dioxide disposal in natural gas hydrate reservoirs”, coordinated by the PI Federico Rossi, where she was responsible for the following activity: “Innovative systems for natural gas recovery and carbon dioxide sequestration” (2020-2022).

Full Professor of Applied Physics (ING-IND/11) at UNIPG and has fifteen-year expertise on clathrate hydrates, leading the Lab and supervising research activities. He was PI of the national project PRIN2017 “Methane recovery and carbon dioxide disposal in natural gas hydrate reservoirs”, during which two new reactors and a cooling room were installed in the UNIPG Lab. In this project, he will give support in the experimental and engineering activities.
Bibliometric data: H-index 37 (Scopus); 3872 Citations by 2348 documents.
Associate Professor of Applied Physics (ING-IND/10), Coordinator of PhD Course in "Energy and Sustainable Development" at UNIPG.
Director of the National Biomass Research Center from 2016 to 2022.
He has several years of experience on sustainability, energy and environmental impact topics.
He will give support to the PI for what concerns energy/environmental evaluations on the proposed technological solution for CO2 injection.
Bibliometric data: H-index 31 (Scopus); 2624 Citations by 1803 documents.
