The UNIPG group has several reactors for the study of gas hydrates.
The apparatuses used for CO2 RESTO are three. They have an internal volume equal to 1000 cm3, with a cylindrical shape made with 316SS.
Two of them are positioned inside a cooling room to control temperature. They can be filled with porous media, water and pressurized with gas.
They will be used for CH formation/dissociation/stability studies.
The measured parameters are pressure and temperature profiles, inlet and outlet gas flows, gas compositions. The lab is also equipped with a climatic chamber for samples’ storage and a gas chromatograph for gas mixtures’ analysis.
