Welcome to MENDING MINDSETS: Healing Anxiety Among Adolescents, a therapeutic group for adolescents with anxiety, wanting to learn more about this disorder and how to use a Dialectical Behavior Therapeutic (DBT) approach to overcome it. Each week participants will learn various DBT skills which will help participants to build a stronger understanding of DBT's four components: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance. Each of these skills provides participants with more effective strategies for coping and a stronger understanding of the importance of lively presently in the moment. Each session is two hours in length, with one session occurring per week, for a six week period. We look forward to working with you on your healing journey!
