Team morale is the sum of their attitudes, feelings, and levels of satisfaction. It is the result of the work environment and attitudes that surround the team. A high team morale can assist a company or organization in meeting its objectives and goals. Along with this, good morale leads to higher productivity, retention, and collaboration. Having strategies to maintain and improve morale is extremely important especially in the busiest times. A good way to improve morale is with the use of icebreakers. In class the ice breaker that my group came up with was “Head’s up 7 up”. The goal of this ice breaker was to improve the communication between different members of the team by making sure everyone knew each other's name. This is a crucial first step in improving relations within a team. While this may have been the first step in the process of building higher morale, humanizing each team member is crucial in further team building especially in the busiest of times.
