Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Kamaruddin Abd Hamid is an experienced engineering academic, education leader, academic strategist, and chemical engineering specialist with extensive experience spanning academic leadership, engineering education, accreditation and quality assurance, innovative teaching and learning, research, postgraduate supervision, professional engagement, and industry consultancy.
He currently serves as Associate Professor and Deputy Dean (Academic & International) at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), where he contributes to academic leadership, programme development, teaching and learning quality, internationalisation, academic staff development, and the enhancement of student learning experiences. He has served as Principal Investigator for 9 research projects with a total value of RM382,000, in addition to participation in 28 research projects valued at RM2.26 million.
