Grant Application Policies:
Academic, Social & Intercouncil Grants: Due by 5:00 PM, 14 days before the next Congress session (see exact dates below).
Professional Development Grants: Due by 5:00 PM, 7 days before the next Congress session (see exact dates below).
Event Timing: The event must occur after the nearest upcoming Congress session (unless an exception applies under §6.10(D)).
Late submissions will be considered only at the discretion of the Secretary of Grants. Any application submitted within 6 days of a Congress meeting (session) will automatically be pushed to the following meeting.
Retroactive applications are considered on a case-by-case basis and must align with the PSG Policies & Procedures Manual.
Recipients of grants awarded by the Professional Student Government (PSG) must claim their funds within the academic year in which the grant was awarded. Failure to claim the funds within this timeframe will result in automatic forfeiture, and the unclaimed funds will revert back to the PSG general fund. For the purposes of this grant program, awarded funds are not considered personal property of the recipient until successfully disbursed. Additionally, any unclaimed funds shall not be classified as unclaimed property under Minnesota state law.
