ABOUT LAW COUNCIL 

The University of Minnesota Law School comprises students from five different professional legal degree programs-- Juris Doctors (JD), Legal Masters for Foreign Lawyers (LLM), Legal Masters for Patent Law (LLM in Patent Law), Doctor of Juridicial Sciences (SJD), and Masters of Science in Patent Law (MSPL). The Law School has over 700 students coming from 34 states and 7 different countries, and over 35 student organizations ranging from professional organizations to affinity groups to a school musical troupe. Students in the Law School are directly represented by the student elected "Law Council.'
